Creamy Salsa Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 jar of Aunt Ophila's Salsa (Regular, Hott, or Habanero Hott)

  • 1 ⅓ cup of chicken broth

  • 2 tablespoons of heavy cream

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Avocado diced for garnish (optional)

  • 1 corn tortilla cut into thin strips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°

  2. Place tortillas on baking sheet and bake for 8 minutes or until golden brown

  3. Combine Aunt Ophila's Salsa and the chicken broth in a medium sauce pan

  4. Bring to a boil at medium heat

  5. Once boiling, reduce heat to simmer

  6. Add heavy cream

  7. Blend until smooth

  8. Serve in two bowls

  9. Salt, pepper and garnish to taste

  10. Enjoy with tortilla strips!
